Zopfi Play Date!

Some of the "Zopfi" girls got together for a play date on Tuesday night at Katie Jo's house. It was quite interesting. The evening started later than expected, so we were sneaking into bedtime for Ellaina. I had left Braden at home with Grandma & Grandpa. He seemed still out of it from being sick, so I thought it was better for everyone if he didn't play.

It was fun to see the kids play together. Leila (almost 1) was just observing everything and every now and then she would get daring enough to try to play with a toy Ellaina (2) or Thomas (2) had. Play at your own risk! Ellaina and Thomas were all over the place playing with everything...sometimes trying to play with what the other person was playing with :)

Towards the end of the night Ellaina had had enough. She would put her hand out and say no Thomas and start screaming. This left Amanda & I thinking how much fun they will have when Her, Thomas and Kathryn come down in a couple weeks to see us in Texas. Oddly enough, Ellaina kept saying "Bye Bye Thomas" on the way home, and when I told her he was coming to Ellaina's house to play she kept saying "Yea".

Mr. & Mrs. Personality!

On Sunday night, the entire Jackson family (including Brad since his new flight wasn’t until Monday) headed over to the Lien’s for dinner and to let the kids play. Their little guy Jack is about 22 months old and he is Mr. Personality. Ellaina and him were so incredibly adorable together. They have the same playful personality, which made it comical to watch. Especially when they were chasing each other around laughing and yelling. They enjoyed shooting a little basketball too. I think the cutest thing was when they were playing in the basket together. At the end of the night I was chasing them around holding Braden like he was running after them. It was so funny, even an exhausted Braden was smiling.

The Case of the Missing Passenger…

This case begins at 6:00 the morning after our class reunion. Passenger, Brad Jackson, arrives at his gate about 35min before boarding begins. Thinking to himself, I’ll sit right by the desk so I can be one of the first to board and I will be asleep before the flight takes off. This is where things got a little fuzzy for this Sun Country passenger. After falling asleep at the gate Brad wakes to see the boarding has begun. He jumps into line and hands the gentleman his boarding pass. To his surprise the gentleman asks passenger Brad Jackson to step to the side for a minute. Still tired from our all night shenanigans, Brad thinks nothing of it, until…the gentlemen tells him this is the flight to Mexico…your flight has already taken off without you. He proceeds to explain they called his name 2 or 3 times before sending flight 507 on its way without him. Another Sun Country passenger found…case closed.

Class of 98

Brad and I attended our class reunion on Saturday night and had such a blast. My girlfriend Amanda Burrows put the reunion together, and she did such a great job. There had to be over 200 people and it was more fun than we had expected. There were so many people that I hadn’t seen in such a long time. We even got a picture of a group of us from elementary. Later I noticed more people from our elementary school that didn’t get into that one. Once we closed Sundance down, we all piled into Christie’s car and headed to Mama G’s. Seven people in her little car made it look like we were the clown car in the circus.

All I know is I am too old for these late nights. Kids don't sleep in when mommy wants to :)
