On Christmas morning we woke up at Grandma & Papa’s house to stockings and presents from Santa. Uncle Jason was able to celebrate with us! Afterwards we all headed to Weaverly to celebrate with Great Grandpa Larry, and the Antil families! We haven’t been able to spend Christmas day with all the family since Ellaina was little. I was so excited when Lori called to invite us! It was as nice as I remembered. We had such a wonderful time visiting and celebrating with everyone. Since moving to Texas, I don’t get to see all my aunts, uncles and cousins very often. I am blessed to see my Grandpa every visit, but don’t get so lucky with the rest of the family. This was such a treat to get to see everyone. The kids had a blast too. It was the perfect way to celebrate Christmas! Ellaina would not let them take a picture without her :)

It has come to my attention that our kids are definitely Texas kids. On Sunday we went sledding with Jason and the kids. Ellaina was such a complainer. She enjoyed the sledding part, but complained about everything between slides. It was not my usual sport, which made it very frustrating.
Today we had my friends little guy Jack over and went to play outside for a little while. Ellaina was complaining about her boots, her gloves, the snow and everything in between. Eventually she calmed down and found herself enjoying the swing and snow.
Braden enjoyed sliding and just stomping around in the snow on Sunday. The snow was more packed down and easier to walk on there compared to my parent’s hill and backyard. Every step any of us would take, our leg would go all the way down. For an adult. it’s maybe up to the shin, but for the little ones it was their entire leg. This posed to be a little problem for Braden. Every time we would get up and walk he would start saying he was stuck. At first it was really funny, but by the time we made our way to the patio I was relieved. I don’t think I could have taken many more “I’m stuck mommy!?!?”. Afterwards we went inside for some hot chocolate and marshmallows.

We celebrated Christmas Eve at my parent’s house with my brother and the kids. It was so wonderful being back home with my parents. The only thing missing was my sister and her family. My mom even helped me carry out Brad and my family tradition of singing Happy Birthday to Jesus. Only this year it was one day early :)
